Department of Physics

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Physics was established in the year 1993. As per the University rules the total intake of this department is 40 students. Every batch of students has been successful in academic and co-curricular activities. Our department has dedicated staff members who are experienced in the field of theoretical as well as experimental physics. The department has infrastructure to offer quality education and training. The objective of the department is that the students should be exposed to the current scientific scenario and latest technological developments in the field of physics.  The Course has been formulated in such a way that students become eligible for self-employment or higher education in various related fields. Students are focused to acquire the practical knowledge through modern and sophisticated lab equipments. The well equipped lab caters to the students to accomplish their mini and final year projects with the intention that they will be inducted to many placement drives.

VISION & MISSION

Our Vision  is committed to impart quality education both in teaching as well as research and development with special emphasis on ‘learning by doing’ for socio-economic growth. It is to build a foundation for the excellence and growth of the institution as a premier one.

Our Mission is to expand the frontiers of fundamental physics research, to educate the next generation of scientific and educational leaders, and to produce an impact on the younger community, the distinguished history and tradition.
