The Department of Commerce of MIET Arts and Science College organized a seminar on “Interest-Free Banking” on 14th August 2025. The session was presided over by Dr. M. Ammanullah, President of the program. The seminar aimed to create awareness among commerce students about the principles, operations, and global practices of interest-free banking systems, often referred to as Islamic banking. The resource person highlighted the differences between conventional and interest-free banking, emphasizing ethical finance, profit-sharing methods, and social responsibility in banking operations. Around 80 students from the B.Com department actively participated in the session. Students raised interesting questions about the practical application of interest-free banking in India and its potential impact on the economy. The discussion encouraged critical thinking and deeper understanding of ethical financial systems. The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks by the Head of the Department, appreciating the efforts of the organizing committee and the enthusiastic participation of the students.
