Department of Commerce
The Department of Commerce at M.I.E.T. Arts & Science College was established in 1994 with a commitment to providing quality education and training in the field of commerce. Over the years, the department has expanded to include postgraduate programs in 2004, 2005, and 2018, along with M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs, introduced in 2016. The department has a UG intake capacity of 180 students and a PG intake capacity of 30 students, as per university guidelines. It consistently produces 90% and above results annually, with students excelling in both academics and co-curricular activities.
To be a leader in providing an advanced education system that develops visionary professionals and entrepreneurs enriched with innovation and leadership, integrating teaching, learning, and research for equitable growth in the global society.

SEMINAR
ENTREPRENEUR DEVELOPMENT CELL (EDC)
The Entrepreneur Cell has conducted a one day Seminar on 18.10.2024 and the session was handled by Mr. Rajakumar Tamilnadu Livelihoods (TNULM). The session has covered the procedure and initiatives of the new entrepreneur.
WORKSHOP
Department of business administration has organized One day workshop on “Emerging Career in Management” on 19thseptember 2024. Mr. AH MOHAMED IMRAN, BDM synergy, Trichy handled the first session and Mr. TIMOTHY KINGSLEY, BDM synergy, Trichy handled the second session.

Nearly 16 students from Department of Commerce participated in an Internship organised by Shasaa Groups in Association with MIET ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE. The students were educated on various topics like Banking, Finance, Business, Entrepreneurship and many. The students participated enthusiastically and requested for more such internships in the near future.
